Empties #11: Green Beauty Body + Hair Products
Grab a cup of coffee because it's time to chat about my empties. I've gone through a lot of products in the last few weeks so I've split the products into two posts. Today I'll talk about the body and hair empties, and on Friday I'm going to chat about the skincare products.
Psychic Detox Magickal Mineral Bath Salts // Valentina's Home Brewed (Discontinued)
I bought this in the States because I've never seen it before and I'm always looking for new bath products. This is supposed to help "other people's daily nonsense drain away" and while I don't believe these salts helped me deal with negative energies, they do smell amazing. Most natural salts have a very simple scent like lavender or eucalyptus. This one has a very complex scent that's natural and herby but also spa like.
Clearing Foam Bath // Aura Cacia
When I was a teenager, my mom bought me Aura Cacia bath salts for Christmas. I've been using them ever since because they're really affordable and the brand has lots of different bath products. This is different from their normal bath salts because these foam up a bit. Not a lot, and the foam doesn't last for your entire bath, but you do get to enjoy some foam without any nasty chemicals or parabens that are in conventional foaming products.
Foaming Shaving Gel // Acure Organics (Discontinued)
I admit, at first I was disappointed in this. Acure advertises this as a foaming product that's "just like dad's old stuff" and it's not like my dad's old stuff. But it's better. It may not foam up as much, but it smells divine and it's packed with soothing ingredients like blue chamomile and cucumber. It's also got sweet almond oil and aloe so it's my go to shaving product, and I've already bought two more bottles.
Lavender + Biotin Full Volume Shampoo // Andalou Naturals
I've been using this for a while, and I'm sad to see it go. I loved the natural lavender scent and I loved what this did to my hair. It helped to nourish my hair so it stayed strong and healthy and it added lots of volume. I will be repurchasing as soon as I use up my other shampoos.
Clementine Ginger Energizing Body Lotion // Andalou Naturals
A little background info - I used to hate body lotions. I found that they weren't that hydrating and I never loved the scents. But Andalou changed my mind and totally has me covered with their beautiful lotions. Andalou offers several different scents that all smell wonderful, their lotions are super hydrating, and they're really affordable. This is my favourite scent because it's nice and citrusy and it makes me feel fresh before I get into bed. Of course I will be repurchasing.
Citrus Verbena Uplifting Body Lotion // Andalou Naturals (Discontinued)
This is my second favourite Andalou lotion scent. It still has that citrus scent that I love, but this is more lemony.
Lavender Hand Cream // Andalou Naturals
If you've been reading the blog for a while, you've seen me talk about these hand creams over and over. They're affordable, they have really nourishing ingredients, and they're perfect for keeping my hands soft and hydrated. They're my go to and I generally have a good stash in case I run out.
Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover // Mineral Fusions
The first vegan nail polish remover I used literally split my nails. So naturally I was nervous to try this one because I thought all vegan nail polish removers were awful. But this one is wonderful. It easily removes my polish in seconds without damaging my nails. I'm on my second bottle and I have no intentions of trying another brand anytime soon.
Until next time,
