Empties #32: Skincare

Empties 32 Skincare

It's time for another round of empties! Here we go!

Meow Meow Tweet Face Exfoliant*

When you have sensitive skin, exfoliating can be a challenge. Scrubs are a no no, and so are most chemical exfoliants. Konjac sponges are great, but they don't really do the job well. That's where this exfoliant comes in. I really like this formula, although it can get a little messy, so I recommend using in the shower.

MMT has recently updated their formula to exclude nuts, and they updated their packaging to a zero waste alternative!

Meow Meow Tweet Face Mask

This is a great face mask for all skin types, which is a really rare find! Made with pink clay and chickpea powder, this is great for exfoliating, clarifying, detoxing, and brightening your skin.

MMT has also updated this formula and packaging to a zero waste alternative!

Bentonite Clay

I've got to admit, I wasn't a huge fan of this clay as a face mask. While it gets the job done, it has a slippery texture that's difficult to remove. However, this is great as a hair mask. My hair was having a tough time - it was super greasy, no matter how much shampoo I used. But this clarified everything right away, leaving me with soft, manageable hair.

French Green Clay

This was my go to mask as a teenager. While it still works well, my skin is much more dry now, and to be honest it's a lot thinner and more delicate. While I have acne, I didn't feel like this was the best fit for me because my skin is so dry. I won't be repurchasing.

Leaves of Trees Facial Cleansing Oil*

I've forgotten how much I adore this cleansing oil. I've been using it to remove makeup before a bath, and it leaves my skin absolutely glowing. I can't wait to pick up a full sized bottle!

Sattva Pure Renew & Refresh Hydrating Mist (Discontinued)

I really liked this toner - it was balancing, hydrating, and refreshing. While it's for normal / combination skin, it worked really well for my dry skin!

Wildcraft Regenerating Face Serum

This serum is like liquid gold. The texture is wonderful - it's really nourishing, but still light, and it sinks in really quickly. It smells amazing, and it has frankincense oil, which is dreamy for all skin types. This left my skin soft, moisturized, clear, and glowing. I honestly can't wait to use it again!

Pure + Simple Skin Drink*

I was really surprised at how well this worked for me. This has the texture and feel of a conventional face cream, but without the conventional ingredients. It's light, which was great during the warmer months, but it still did the job well!

S.W. Basics Lip Balm

These are my favourite lip balms. The formula is just perfect - not too heavy, not too light, and it really works, so I'm not reapplying all day long.

Have you tried any of these skincare empties?
