A Valentine's Day Makeup Look
I wanted to put together a cute little FOTD for all of you who celebrate Valentine's Day. My partner and I will be chilling at home drinking coffee and eating pancakes all day, but if you're going out, this green beauty look is for you.
Mattifying Primer // 100% Pure
This is the first primer I've ever used, so I can't really compare it to others.
Overall, I think it's a great primer. Now my tinted moisturizer is easier to apply and I find my skin just looks a lot better. My skin doesn't look shiny or dull, but it looks smooth and even.
Fruit Pigmented Tinted Moisturizer in Creme // 100% Pure
This tinted moisturizer is my go to foundation product. It's a great light weight, medium coverage option that provides sun protection and a bit of hydration. It ticks all of the boxes!
Fruit Pigmented Brightening Concealer in Creme // 100% Pure
This concealer is great for covering blemishes and dark circles. It's even got a touch of brightening power that combats the dark or dull areas. I'd say it's a light to medium coverage product.
Fruit Pigmented Healthy Skin Foundation Powder in Creme // 100% Pure
I've started dusting this all over my face for a little bit of a matte, powdered finish. I love the light weight, light coverage option that's perfect for every day use.
Hydration Mist // Mineral Fusion
My skin is dry, especially in the Winter. Applying makeup can be tricky, no matter how hydrated my skin is. This has been a life saver. After I've applied all of my foundation products, I'll spray this once or twice all over my face. It helps to lock in moisture so instead of looking dry and peely, my skin looks soft and smooth.
Brow Wiz in Taupe // Anastasia Beverly Hills
This is my favourite brow product. It's so easy to use and my brows usually end up looking pretty good, despite my lack of makeup skills.
Super Powder Supernatural Eye Shadow Trio (Ethreal, Lovely, Dreamy) // Pacifica Beauty*
This is a new trio, and as you may know, I love trios. They're so easy to work with.
I really like this one, although I wish they were a bit more pigmented. I've used this a few times and while I love the colour, I feel like it needs more pigmentation and it needs to last longer. But the colours are so gorgeous I keep using it anyway!
*Side note - I couldn't find this on their website! They had two other eye shadow trios, but this one was nowhere to be found.
Fruit Pigmented Mascara in Black Tea // 100% Pure
I did want a lot of mascara so I opted for this one. It offers lots of length without being clumpy.
Blush in Sunset // ZuZu Luxe
I wanted a bright blush to give my cheeks a little peachy colour. This one is perfect; it's even got a little hint of shimmer.
Fruit Pigmented Luminizer // 100% Pure
I love this highlighting gem. You can use just a touch to create a very natural, subtle glow. Or you can pile it on and create a very glowy, glam look.
I use this down my nose and on the tops of my cheeks. The versatility is great, the colour is beautiful, and it lasts all day long. It's basically an essential.
Fruit Pigmented Lip Glaze in Coquette // 100% Pure
This is kind of like a lipstick, but it's easier to wear. It also looks a lot more natural, and that's not just the colour. The formula is very hydrating and soothing, and it's not as heavy. It also doesn't feel as messy as a lipstick. So basically it's my favourite thing ever.
I chose this colour to add some colour and brightness to my face, without taking away from the rest of the look. What do you think?
What kind of products are going into your Valentine's Day FOTD?
Until next time,
