Wildcraft Regenerating Serum Review

I've wanted to try Wildcraft products for ages. Everything is made right here in Toronto, it's packaged in glass, and everything is made with really clean and natural ingredients without fillers, fake fragrances, or harmful preservatives.

When they reformulated their Regenerating Face Serum and removed the jojoba oil, I knew I had to try it.  After just a few uses, I knew this was something special and it quickly became (dare I say it?) my all time favourite serum.

What Are The Ingredients?

  • Rice Bran Oil
  • Meadowfoam Seed Oil
  • Organic Rosehip Seed Oil
  • Organic Hemp Seed Oil
  • Organic Sunflower Oil with Carrot Extract
  • Organic Seabuckthorn Oil
  • Organic Frankincense Essential Oil
  • Palmarosa Essential Oil

As you can see, this serum is made with lots of organic, nourishing oils.

Meadowfoam seed oil is an antioxidant rich, skin softening oil that has a waxy texture similar to jojoba (1). I love this one much more because I find jojoba oil irritates my skin and causes redness, whereas this doesn't at all.

Rosehip oil is a popular skincare oil that's ideal for acne prone, sensitive skin as it has a lighter texture that won't weigh down your skin or cause irritation (2).

The hemp seed oil, locally sourced in Ontario, goes on very lightly and is useful for preventing moisture loss, improving moisture balance, and slowing the signs of aging (3).

Sunflower oil is amazing for your skin, as it's rich in vitamin e and antioxidants that repair any cellular damage in your skin (4).

And last but not least, seabuckthorn oil! This oil has lots of fatty acids, vitamins E and C, making it an anti-aging powerhouse. It's anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and high in antioxidants, which make it great for inflamed, acne prone skin (5).

The frankincense and palmarosa remind me of the Meow Meow Tweet Frankincense + Flowers Body Oil, my favourite body oil. These essential oils are amazing for your skin. Frankincense is one of the best essential oils for your skin as it does almost everything. It's anti-aging, moisturizing, and incredibly healing for acne and acne scars. The palmarosa balances your skin's oil production, making it ideal for all skin types.

Why is This Serum Different?

Okay so cool, the ingredients are bomb. But why is this serum so amazing?

Well first off, using this serum is a wonderful experience. It smells heavenly, thanks to those healing essential oils. Instead of just applying your skincare, you're experiencing a grounding, aromatherapeutic treatment. While you enjoy the essential oils, this serum glides onto your skin and leaves your skin moisturized, brightened, and radiant.

While most serums are made with gels or water to sink in right away, this oil based serum combines the concentrated power of a serum and the healing power of an oil to give you the best of both worlds.

I started to see the benefits right away. My skin was much more clear, luminous, and my pores even looked smaller and less congested. I experienced less redness and irritation. Interestingly, when I finished this serum, I started experiencing redness and more congestion. While inconvenient, that tells me this serum truly is an effective product.

My skin looked healthy, and it felt healthy too. It was soft, smooth, and never flaky or rough. And while I have combination skin that makes finding good skincare difficult, this worked for both my driest and oiliest spots.

While I'm always trying new products, I like having a few skincare essentials on hand so if I'm experiencing issues, I can turn to them to heal my skin. This is definitely a new essential, and I believe it's now my favourite serum, and a favourite find of 2017.

If you're looking for a new serum or face oil, please give this face serum a go. Your skin will thank you!
